Eternal Life Starts from Tai Chi

Chapter 202: Registered on the Record, Princess Lan Yue

Chapter 202: Registered on the Record, Princess Lan Yue

Yan Jinfeng was a member of the Pharmacist Alliance and an Honorary Elder, so his status was naturally higher than that of Ding Tong, a mere Steward.

Xu Gaocen, on the other hand, was an Intermediate Pharmacist, but not a member of the Pharmacist Alliance. Usually, only figures at the Advanced Pharmacist level from other Sects joined the Alliance, and they would only receive an honorary title, which didn’t count as true membership.

It was similar to being an Honored Guest Elder, but the title of Honorary Elder held more prestige and had stricter requirements.

Although Xu Gaocen wasn’t a member of the Pharmacist Alliance, his status as an Intermediate Pharmacist was roughly equivalent to, if not slightly higher than, a Pharmacist Alliance Steward like Ding Tong. Therefore, Xu Gaocen took the initiative to go and speak with him.

Ding Tong led the group to an empty counter and took out a registration book. It was the roster for the members participating in the Pharmacist Exchange Conference. The book in his hand was just one volume; they would all be consolidated into a single master roster later.

This book recorded the Advanced Pharmacists from the major Sects, as well as other outstanding Pharmacists. It served as a kind of information ledger.

A Sect’s power was inextricably linked to its Pharmacists. The more Advanced Pharmacists a Sect possessed, the greater its chances of producing powerful experts.

With such an abundance of Cultivation Resources, they could naturally nurture even more powerful cultivators.

Some people had decent Talent but were held back by a shortage of Cultivation Resources. If such individuals were given sufficient resources, their Cultivation could advance. There were even those who failed to break through due to their advanced age, who might have succeeded if only they had received more Cultivation Resources in their youth.

All of this was impossible without the help of Pharmacists.

By recording this information, the Pharmacist Alliance could deduce the general situation within the various Sects. Of course, there was no guarantee that Sects wouldn’t try to hide their true strength. However, doing so meant forfeiting some of the Cultivation Resources provided by the Alliance, as well as missing a valuable opportunity to network with other Pharmacists.

One person’s perspective is always limited. By interacting with more people, hearing different ideas, and exchanging knowledge, a Pharmacist could gain new insights and improve their Pharmacist Abilities.

The benefits were clear. If a Sect, in an attempt to hide its true strength, prevented a specially nurtured member from participating in the Pharmacist Exchange Conference, that member would likely miss out on a crucial opportunity for advancement.

Thus, it was a blatant stratagem that most Sects had no choice but to fall into, as the benefits were simply too obvious to ignore.

Yang Chan watched the registration process from the side, remaining silent. He simply observed quietly, keeping his thoughts to himself.

He planned to keep a low profile and do his best to avoid drawing attention.

He wasn’t too concerned about being recorded in the roster. After all, he was just here to gain some experience—an ordinary, unremarkable face in the crowd.

’Aside from my handsome and fair face, which might earn a second glance, there shouldn’t be any trouble as long as I lay low,’ he thought.

Suddenly, a commotion from the main entrance of the Pharmacist Alliance caught Yang Chan’s attention, and he looked over.

"Why is Princess Lan Yue here at the Pharmacist Alliance?"

"I heard Princess Lan Yue is already an Intermediate Pharmacist. She must be here for the Pharmacist Exchange Conference. She’s probably about to register now."

"Princess Lan Yue is only seventeen and she’s already an Intermediate Pharmacist? That’s incredible! Truly worthy of someone from the Imperial Family."

"That’s not even the most impressive part. Princess Lan Yue can already refine the Guiyuan Pill, an Elixir that’s effective even for Inner Masters. Now *that’s* what’s truly incredible."

"*Gasp*! For Princess Lan Yue to reach this level at only seventeen... her future is boundless! She doesn’t just have a chance to become an Advanced Pharmacist; she could even become a Top Level Pharmacist!"

"A Top Level Pharmacist... that’s someone who can refine Elixirs for Bone Marrow Cleansing Grandmasters, and possibly even Elixirs needed by a Martial Saint. That’s truly remarkable."

"Not only does Princess Lan Yue have a talent for Alchemy, but her own Cultivation has reached the External Refining Iron Bone Realm. It probably won’t be long before she breaks through to become an Inner Master. She’s truly a figure of the Celestial Pride Level."

Yang Chan’s hearing was excellent, and he took in the entire conversation from the nearby crowd. He hadn’t expected such a genius to appear.

That she was from the Imperial Family seemed perfectly normal to Yang Chan. The Great Zhou Imperial Dynasty possessed the most Cultivation Resources, all gathered from the various provinces and sent to White Jade City, directly into the hands of the Imperial Family.

It was only natural that these Royal Family Members would have access to more than anyone else.

Some of the High Tier Spiritual Materials Yang Chan needed were difficult to obtain, but for the Imperial Family, they were nothing.

’It’s all about being born into the right family.’

Though the person he had possessed was also surnamed Yang, he was just an ordinary Servant Disciple, without such good fortune.

Of course, he wasn’t envious. His current Lifespan was already over three hundred years, far surpassing most people—an advantage that others could only dream of. As his various Health Cultivation Skills continued to advance, his Lifespan would only grow longer.

’After everyone I see here today is dead and gone, I’ll still be alive. I could live until the end of time, until the world itself grows old and desolate. It’s even possible I’ll reach a state where I outlast the heavens and the earth. All of it is possible.’

’My future holds infinite possibilities.’

Before long, a young woman in blue robes entered through the main gate. She was flanked by numerous guards clad in armor that glinted coldly. They were protectors assigned by the Imperial Family; every one of them had a Cultivation at the External Refining Copper Skin level at a minimum. Their leader had even reached the External Refining of Iron Bone Perfection stage.

Unlike Yang Chan, these people faced bottlenecks in their Cultivation breakthroughs.

It was perfectly normal for someone to be stuck at the bottleneck before the Inner Master realm for their entire life.

As the blue-robed young woman stepped into the Pharmacist Alliance, someone inside hurried to greet her, leading her to a clear space to register her information.

Although Princess Lan Yue was not accompanied by an Advanced Pharmacist, she had secured a spot from the Imperial Family to participate in the Pharmacist Exchange Conference.

Being based in White Jade City, the Pharmacist Alliance naturally had to show deference to the Imperial Family. They even had to refine specific Elixirs for them at times, under the guise of "cooperation."

The registration for Princess Lan Yue and her entourage was completed swiftly. They had arrived and departed in a flash.

"I hear Princess Lan Yue isn’t betrothed yet. I wonder who’ll be lucky enough to marry her. You don’t often see someone so outstanding in every respect."

"Exactly! Marrying Princess Lan Yue would be like marrying a future Advanced Pharmacist, or even a Top Level Pharmacist. Your family’s future would be set!"

"You all talk about marrying *her*, but with her talent, she’ll be the one taking a husband. A woman as outstanding as Princess Lan Yue will probably establish her own estate. It won’t be a case of a man taking a wife, but of her recruiting a consort."

Yang Chan listened to the nearby chatter, finding it somewhat amusing.

’A daughter of the Imperial Family... whether she marries into a family or a man marries into hers all depends on their respective status and value.’

And based on their conversation, since Princess Lan Yue was so exceptional, she would most likely be the one to take a husband.

Yang Chan had nothing better to do anyway, so he continued to listen in, gathering tidbits about White Jade City.
