When Bai Yiran arrived at Huamei International, Anna was anxiously pacing back and forth in the company’s first-floor lobby. As Leng Yichen’s chief secretary and someone who shared a close relationship with Bai Yiran, she had no right to attend this shareholders meeting, nor even the qualifications to enter the meeting room.

Li Sha parked the car right at the entrance of Huamei International. Seeing Bai Yiran’s arrival, Anna quickly rushed over to open the door.

"What’s the situation now?" Bai Yiran asked Anna as she got out of the car, without stopping her pace. A few people quickly headed toward the meeting room.

Cheng Gang walked alongside Bai Yiran, feeling overwhelmed as he gazed at the magnificent architecture of Huamei International.

"The shareholders meeting was suddenly called by Mr. Shi and Mr. Lin, and Director Qi is also one of the conveners," Anna said, keeping up with Bai Yiran’s quick pace.

Upon hearing that Qi Hui was also getting involved, a cold glint flashed in Bai Yiran’s eyes.

So Qi Hui left the hospital after receiving a phone call because of this matter!

"Where is Wang Wei?" Bai Yiran asked.

"President Wang went to attend the shareholders meeting as well. Originally, Director Qi was against it, but President Wang’s attitude was firm, and he ultimately had to agree. However, President Wang is not a shareholder of the company and has no voting rights. If the shareholders pass a new resolution, President Wang won’t be able to veto it."

Bai Yiran’s brow furrowed; this was her greatest concern.

"Uncle, you’re the vice president of the company. You’re more familiar with these matters than I am, so once we’re inside, you need to help me!"

"Alright!" Cheng Gang’s expression was serious. Huamei International’s complexities were different from his small company, and as an in-law, Cheng Gang couldn’t assist Bai Yiran too much. He could only try his best to protect her from being bullied.

However, Cheng Gang wasn’t optimistic about the events that were about to unfold.

Soon, Bai Yiran and the others arrived at the largest meeting room in Huamei International. Security guards stood at the door and were momentarily stunned upon recognizing Bai Yiran.

Things were about to get tricky; Director Qi had clearly instructed that no one was to enter. Yet here was not just anyone, but Mr. Leng’s wife. Should they stop her or not?

"Didn’t you see Mrs. Leng? Open the door!" Anna raised her voice at the two unresponsive security guards.

The security guards were startled by Anna’s shout. Usually, Anna was always approachable and spoke in a gentle tone. They had never seen her so intimidating before.

Seeing the guards still unmoved, Bai Yiran lost her patience. "Li Sha, open the door!"

"Alright!" At Bai Yiran’s command, Li Sha directly approached the two security guards, quickly subduing them, and with a bang, pushed open the meeting room door.

Inside, the shareholders meeting was in session. The sudden opening of the door from outside startled the seated shareholders, who then saw Bai Yiran, with a stern expression, leading a group inside.

Everyone turned to look at Bai Yiran, puzzled as to why she, as the daughter-in-law, wasn’t at the hospital with Leng Liewei during his surgery, but was here causing a stir.

Bai Yiran’s cold eyes swept over everyone in the meeting room, and she spoke sharply, "Seems like everyone is here! Even Uncle Xu came!"

Bai Yiran looked sarcastically at Old Xu, the shareholder who had previously had an unpleasant encounter with Cheng Gang at Xiao Xi’s full moon banquet.
