The Demon Emperor was Saint Emperor

Chapter 147: Ilya’s Vision

Chapter 147: Ilya’s Vision

"With these two additions, it’s perfect."

While Lynn was touching and feeling around to recognize his own appearance, Ilya somehow produced a pair of dark-gold dragon horns and fixed them onto Lynn’s head.

At the same time, a pair of shoes perfectly matching Lynn’s size were gently placed on the ground by her, showing no intention to help Lynn change shoes.

"These dragon horns..."

Lynn touched the dragon horns on his head, unsure of what method Ilya had used. The horns seemed to have rooted in his head, indistinguishable from naturally growing ones.

"I found these in the Demon Emperor Palace, and they’re probably the dragon horns shed by the late Emperor. I polished them enough to pass off as real."

Seeing Lynn’s puzzled look, Ilya explained briefly.

"And these shoes...?"

Lynn looked down and saw nothing special about the shoes; there wasn’t even a trace of demonic qi. If they hadn’t been presented by the Proud Demon King herself, he would’ve thought they were just ordinary height-increasing shoes.

"They’re just ordinary height-increasing shoes with a few extra pads inside. Your physique is hard to change, but being too short doesn’t match the image, so wearing height-increasing shoes is fine. Anyway, in the demonic qi’s embrace, no magic energy can detect your padding."

Ilya pointed at the shoes on the ground, speaking indifferently.

Lynn: "..."

He couldn’t help but be speechless; any man pointed out to wear height-increasing shoes would feel uncomfortable, just like pointing at a woman’s chest and saying she stuffed it—both hurt the self-esteem.

Most importantly, Lynn had never needed height-increasing shoes or insoles. He wasn’t short; at 188 cm, he was quite adequate among the human race.

"Can I not pad them?"

Lynn attempted a struggle, though not holding much hope, knowing Ilya’s requests were justified. She fitted him with dragon horns clearly to disguise as part of the Demon Dragon Race, and it wouldn’t make sense for anyone in that humanoid state to be 188 cm.

"Do you think it’s possible?"

In a rare occurrence, Ilya used "you" to address Lynn, but Lynn felt there was something off in her tone.

"Just wear them; what’s it to a man to wear height-increasing shoes? There are even those who wear pantyhose."

Saying this, Lynn gritted his teeth and changed into the shoes. Wearing height-increasing shoes was merely a sign of insecurity, far better than those in pantyhose and heels.

After changing shoes, Lynn finally surpassed Ilya in height, though boosted by the illusion of height-increasing shoes and her non-original form.

"Alright, now there’s no issue."

Ilya circled Lynn several times, observing from various angles until she couldn’t find any flaw. The appearance transformation was complete, shifting to character setting, specifically the demonic setting.

"Demon Emperor, you must remember everything I say next."

Ilya first spoke seriously to Lynn before launching into her long explanation.

"You are a Demon Dragon, aged eight thousand five hundred years, level 980. You’ve been living deep within the Demon Fall Mountain Range, single-mindedly practicing without concerning yourself with worldly affairs. Until the Demon Dragon Emperor’s demise did you wake from deep slumber and secretly observe the current Demon Realm for a year before trying to emerge."

"You noticed the Demon Realm’s current weakness, and your strength qualifies you to take the Lower Realm’s throne, becoming the supreme Demon Emperor, therefore you were tempted."

"You discovered that today’s Seven Great Demon Kings are all Guardian Demon God believers, so you chose to offer loyalty to the Guardian Demon God, aiming to become Its representative demon in the Lower Realm, a Divine Envoy."

"The mighty Guardian Demon God couldn’t bear seeing the Lower Demon Realm leaderless, so It accepted your faith and enlightened you as the Demon God Envoy, allowing you to assume the Demon Realm’s emperor position."

"With the Divine Oracle from the Demon God, you finally appeared in the Demon Emperor Palace and immediately summoned the Seven Great Demon Kings to hold your coronation ceremony."

"However, upon learning each Demon King faces difficulties, they only have the title but no real power, you ordered to gather all high-ranking demons of the Demon Realm for an audience to discuss coronation."

Pausing, Ilya saw Lynn was attentive and she continued.

"Before numerous high-ranking demons, you must show arrogance like Pride, greed like Liss, ire like Sara, and... when it comes to Phantom, you just need to be yourself."

"Essentially, you must be above all demons, crave power, and frequently harm or even kill demons, indifferent and leaving no leeway."

"After successfully centralizing power, you then display a suspicious nature, crazily suppressing heretics, only trusting the Seven Great Demon Kings sharing your faith, thus you hold absolute power but delegate lower authority to them and any defiant demon is promptly dealt with."

"In time, holding such power, undefeatable, you start indulging, partying every day and reveling every night, gradually becoming lazy amidst debauchery and enchanting demons."

"Ultimately, to avoid disrupting your pleasures, you entirely relinquish power to the Seven Great Demon Kings loyal to your faith, meanwhile crazy suppression of potential threat heretics to force a faith change."

"Under your rule, the Demon Realm shifted from primarily destruction to protection of demons, dramatically altering its tone from a mad world destroyer to constructing a peaceful new Demon Realm."

At this point, Ilya need not go further; she had explained the storyline well, how this story unfolds depends on their performances. If successful, it could soon hit the conclusion; otherwise, branching paths or small adjustments might be necessary.

However, the grand strategy remains unchanged, suppressing destructive demons, reforming the Demon Realm, thus they govern the new Demon Realm, while he brings true peace to Miracle World.

This is a win-win situation, resulting in a universally happy ending, so they must perform well, striving to follow the outline to avoid deviations or unexpected incidents.

"Your plans are ideal, though reality might not be so blunt, it won’t always run smoothly. Deviations may occur and are likely."

After hearing Ilya’s settings and script, Lynn first nodded in agreement, acknowledging her thoughts, but even novelists often stray from outlines, how could they ensure reality wouldn’t deviate?

Hence, one cannot merely indulge in dreams, ample preparations must be made, patching any loopholes found, if not perfect, at least ready for emergencies.
