Chapter 2079 - 2077: Identity Exposed
Thorn swung the knife, missing, and then swung it again.
Swish, swish, swish!
The sharp fruit knife glittered coldly in the night sky.
Stab, chop, slash, thrust...
In the blink of an eye, she had attacked Wang Dadong dozens of times.
But after dozens of moves, her fruit knife hadn’t even touched the corner of Wang Dadong’s clothes.
This guy was as slippery as an eel, leaping up and down, his movements looking ridiculous and awkward, yet he always managed to narrowly dodge her fruit knife.
Attacking Wang Dadong for over a hundred moves, Thorn was panting with exhaustion, yet still couldn’t kill Wang Dadong.
"Soldier Sister, you don’t keep your word, you clearly said you’d kiss my brother," Wang Dadong said gloomily.
"I’ll kill you!" Thorn swung the fruit knife again.
Seeing Soldier Sister about to lose her temper, Wang Dadong quickly turned to flee.
"You, stand still!" Thorn shouted.
"I can stand still, but can you put the knife down first?"
"Alright, I’ll put the knife down, just don’t run." Thorn didn’t expect this guy to be so good at escaping; her combat technique could handle ten people at once without any problem, yet she couldn’t deal with a single punk.
Finally, Thorn realized something.
This guy wasn’t an ordinary person.
Those evasive moves seemed ridiculous; those actions that appeared to be just for escape weren’t that simple after all.
Moreover, even after a fierce fight, even her special forces stamina couldn’t keep up, but the opponent didn’t even break a sweat.
This was an expert!
"Who exactly are you?" Thorn asked, holding the fruit knife, bending over with her hands on her knees, her chest heaving with her rapid breaths.
Because of her posture, the charming curves peeking from the opening of her skirt instantly appeared infinitely beautiful.
Wang Dadong stared, wide-eyed.
"How about this, Soldier Sister, tell me your unit number, and I’ll consider telling you who I am." Wang Dadong was very curious about which special forces unit Thorn belonged to.
Although Thorn hadn’t reached the level of Dragon Group, her combat power was already quite high among ordinary special forces.
"You know I’m a special forces soldier?" Thorn showed a look of surprise.
"With such agility, highly skilled in various firearms, a border guard couldn’t achieve that," Wang Dadong said with a grin.
Thorn gazed seriously at Wang Dadong and asked, "Have you served in the military as well?"
"Barely, I suppose." Wang Dadong shrugged.
"Which unit did you belong to?" Thorn asked.
"That’s a long story; not sure which you’re asking about." Wang Dadong laughed.
"Of course, the most famous one," Thorn said.
"The most famous? Let me think, it should be Hell," Wang Dadong said, smiling.
"Hell? What the hell?" Thorn appeared puzzled.
Strictly speaking, Hell wasn’t really a unit, more of a mercenary group; Thorn was just an ordinary special forces soldier, so it made sense she hadn’t encountered that level.
Wang Dadong thought for a moment and said, "Haven’t heard of Hell, but you’ve probably heard of Divine Group?"
Thorn shook her head again.
"China Divine Shield?"
Thorn still shook her head.
"Soldier Sister, you don’t know anything, yet you’re asking me for a unit number... Are you kidding me?" Wang Dadong was speechless.
"I was asking about the highest level unit you’ve been in, not something unusual that I’ve never heard of," Thorn complained.
Why hadn’t she heard of any of these?
"I was talking about the highest level indeed."
"Then tell me the lowest level."
"Dragon Group."
"Dragon Group?" At this point, Thorn felt a bit familiar.
"Wait, what did you say? You said you’re from Dragon Group?" A few seconds later, Thorn finally reacted, her big eyes staring wide.
Dragon Group, that’s been her ultimate goal all along.
It’s the strongest special forces unit in Huaxia.
The ultimate target for any soldier.
"Yeah, didn’t you ask me to name the lowest level?" Wang Dadong said puzzled.
"..."
Thorn’s face twitched involuntarily.
Dragon Group, the epitome of her aspirations, was just the lowest level in his eyes...
Could he be any more boastful?
Clearly, Thorn didn’t entirely believe Wang Dadong’s words.
Yet, Wang Dadong’s skill was undeniably evident.
Thorn’s ability had already reached the peak among ordinary special forces; if Wang Dadong was even stronger, he might truly be a Dragon Group member.
But if he was a Dragon Group warrior, why would he betray the nation and join such an evil organization?
Thorn had many questions, but the biggest one was Wang Dadong’s identity.
She immediately asked, "You say you’re with Dragon Group, which branch are you from?"
"Jiangdu City Dragon Group Branch," Wang Dadong replied.
Hearing this, Thorn’s eyes lit up; although she wasn’t from the Jiangdu Military Region, she happened to know a bit about the Jiangdu Dragon Group Branch. She immediately responded, "You say you’re from Jiangdu Dragon Group Branch. If I say a Dragon Group member’s code name, can you tell me which squad they’re part of?"
"Go ahead and ask." Wang Dadong spread his hands.
"Tequila?"
"Rose Group."
"Dragon Head?"
"Dragon Slayer Group."
"Piao Xue?"
"Momentary Splendor."
"Demon Princess?"
"Rose Group."
Thorn’s eyes widened more and more with surprise as Wang Dadong answered almost without thinking.
Moreover, his answers were correct.
Actually, she only knew Tequila was in the Rose Group; the others she had no clue about.
So she couldn’t be sure if Wang Dadong answered entirely correctly.
But given how fluently Wang Dadong answered, it didn’t seem like he was making it up.
Unless he had known this question would come beforehand.
Thorn took a deep breath, her mind almost certain about Wang Dadong’s identity.
But she still wanted to ask one last question.
"Then, can you tell me who the Commander in Chief of the Jiangdu Dragon Group Branch is?"
"War Machine."
Thorn’s throat unconsciously started to move slightly.
Wang Dadong even knew the Commander in Chief of the Jiangdu Dragon Group Branch, which confirmed that Wang Dadong really was a Dragon Group member.
"You’re, you’re really a Dragon Group member," Thorn’s eyes sparkled.
She knew of Dragon Group members only from hearsay and had never really seen one.
Seeing Thorn looking at him as if he were a treasure, Wang Dadong’s face twitched; it was just Dragon Group, what’s so amazing about it?
If she knew what China Divine Shield or Hell was, her jaw might drop.
"But since you’re a Dragon Group member, why would you..." After a brief excitement, Thorn asked the question on her mind.
"I won’t hide it from you; I’m here on a mission, a very important mission, and I can’t disclose the details," Wang Dadong said calmly.
