Chapter 253: Ch 253: Andrea’s Mysteries (2)
It was a place filled with giant trees and dense canopy. Below, the land was filled with green vines, huge leaves, and shining blue fruits.
These shining blue fruits were obviously the Heavenly Soul Fruits.
There were thousands of these fruits, and right at the center of these fruits was a small pool filled with crystal-clear water.
About a hundred meters away from this pool, a massive creature was eating Heavenly Soul Fruits one after.
This was the Thousand-eyes Monster.
Shua~
Thud!
All of a sudden, an invisible blade passed through the monster’s neck, slicing cleanly through with deadly precision.
The massive creature froze for a moment, its eyes wide with shock as its head detached and fell to the ground with a heavy thud.
’Amazing!’
Andrea marveled at the showcase of Emrys’s strength.
The aura of this monster was many times more terrifying than the one who chased after him, Laura, and Caruso, but Emrys was able to take care of this monster so easily. It only proved how terrifying Emrys’s strength really is.
Andrea couldn’t help but feel envy.
Emrys brought Andrea to this place for two reasons.
First, he wanted to investigate why Andrea had heard the summoning call. Second, he wants to look for the mysteries hidden in the pool. And third, he wants to look for clues related to the Soul Beasts affected by abyssal energy.
Abyssal Energy is not something that can appear anywhere without reason. There has to be a reason for their appearance and invasion.
When they appeared, Emrys didn’t think twice before slashing his hand to kill the Thousand Eyes Monster. For this kind of monster, he doesn’t need to wield a blade; his hand is enough.
"Let’s go," Emrys spoke and started walking towards the small pool, ignoring thousands of Heavenly Soul Fruits.
After all, only one of them can benefit him.
Andrea didn’t even notice when one of the Heavenly Soul Fruit close to him disappeared. Actually, Emrys used his Node Shift ability to shift the node where the Heavenly Soul Fruit was and bring it inside his dimensional space.
Truth be told, the combination of these two skills was truly marvelous.
’What is this?’
As they got closer to the small pool, Andrea’s face suddenly shifted, as if he sensed something unexplainable. He closed his eyes and sped up, eventually leaving Emrys behind.
"What are you doing?"
Emrys frowned and asked, but Andrea didn’t give him a reply. He continued to walk and stopped only after arriving in front of the small pool.
"Yes, this is the place," Andrea muttered.
Emrys raised his brows, "What do you mean?"
"The summoning, it is coming from this place. From somewhere deep down below. I can feel it. It wants me to do something, something that’ll change everything!"
Emrys’s eyes narrowed as he studied Andrea’s current state. Andrea’s eyes were closed and he clearly didn’t know about the small pool beforehand, but he can somehow tell this place is has depth.
Moreover, he was hearing a call that was asking him to do something.
"Speak clearly. Who wants you to do something for it? And what do they want you to do exactly?" Emrys asked.
"I don’t know who this is. No wait, I can feel them. They are not a person with a specific gender. They are... They are... They are the worlds. Yes, I understand. They are the will of several worlds. Four of them! Hmm... I understand. Yes. It is. So this is it. This is what they want. Okay. I will try. No problem! I don’t know. It... It..."
Emrys’s frown deepend. He looked at Andrea whose eyes were still closed but beads of cold sweats had already started forming on his forehead.
Currently, Andrea seemed to be answering him while talking with several other people at the same time.
Will of worlds!
Do worlds have their own will?
Yes, they definitely have!
Emrys shook his head as he thought of something. Then he focused on Andrea again who was constantly shaking and nodding his head. It seems communicating with the will of worlds is an exhausting task. Andrea was already breathing deeply.
About two minutes later, Andrea suddenly opened his eyes, spat out a mouthful of blood, and was sent flying backward.
"Hey, are you alright?"
Emrys immediately waved his hand as a gentle wave of wind caught Andrea in midair before bringing him down, back to Emrys.
"I... Cough cough... I am fine!" Andrea coughed and nodded. He was gasping for breaths already.
Emrys didn’t ask anything. He just let Andrea recover.
After a few minutes of silence, Emrys finally questioned, "Were you communicating with the will of worlds?"
"Yes," Andrea nodded.
"How many?"
"Four of them!"
"Have you learned the names of these worlds?"
"Yes, I have. They told me. They are Infinite Soul Star, Serene Dawn Star, Mystic Essence World, and Eternal Spirit World. I also learned that I am no longer in the Infinite Soul Star. I am in a place called the Celestial Horizon which formed in ancient times after the collision of these four worlds."
Emrys nodded. He already knew about this. After all, when he accepted the mission back in the Eternal Paradise, they gave him a detailed explanation of what was going on there.
His mission was to activate the Ascension Gate and end the Great War in Celestial Horizon.
According to information he obtained back in the mission hall of Eternal Paradise, some forces from the Spiritarium are manipulating powerful entities in one of the Source Universes, which is this universe where Celestial Horizon is located. These powerful entities have allied with the Spiritarium because the Ascension Gate has been blocked, preventing anyone from ascending to the Spiritarium, and creating chaos everywhere.
Emrys guessed that these powerful entities were likely members of the Five Top Families who founded the Federation.
Of course, this was only speculation. The universe was vast, with countless experts as powerful as the strongest within these five families.
Emrys suspected the involvement of these families because the mission was about activating the Ascension Gate located in the Celestial Horizon, rather than any other location in the universe.
