Chapter 979: She Will Always Be the Sheng Family’s Daughter (9)
A well-dressed middle-aged couple held the hand of a girl with red-rimmed eyes and a defiant face, standing at the door, when they saw Su Weiyi.
The middle-aged woman hurried over, "Miss Sheng, hello, hello."
Su Weiyi glanced at her lightly; it was obvious these two were Zhang Ziyu’s parents.
"Hello, Aunt."
Su Weiyi spoke politely, while Su Man stared blankly; Xie Xiaoran had already calmly opened the door and entered the dormitory.
"Miss Sheng, we came specifically to bring Ziyu to apologize to you. It’s our daughter Ziyu who’s being immature, and we hope you can forgive her. We will certainly discipline her well in the future and won’t let her make such mistakes again."
Su Weiyi’s face showed no expression, "What business do you have with me? Speak directly, please, I have things to attend to."
The middle-aged woman was taken aback; Su Weiyi’s tone was gentle, but her words gave an inexplicable sharp impression.
The woman exchanged a glance with her husband, and the man coughed lightly before speaking, "Miss Sheng, this isn’t the best place for a discussion. Why not find a different spot, would that be alright?"
Su Weiyi maintained her gentle demeanor, "Let’s speak inside the dormitory, I don’t have time to go out."
Anyone could guess why they came looking for Su Weiyi.
Zhang Ziyu definitely couldn’t stay at Q University anymore, but whether she’d be expelled from school or take a leave of absence would make a significant difference in her record.
The three of them entered the dormitory, and the middle-aged woman nudged her daughter beside her, "Ziyu, hurry and apologize to Miss Sheng."
Zhang Ziyu’s eyes were red, her lips pursed, while her hands hanging at her sides clenched into fists, full of reluctance. The woman nudged her again, and Zhang Ziyu reluctantly squeezed out three words, "I’m sorry."
"Miss Sheng, you see, Ziyu has apologized. We hope you can forgive her. You’re the same age, being expelled could ruin Ziyu’s life, you..."
"Didn’t she consider she might ruin someone else’s life when she did those things?"
Before Su Weiyi could speak, Xie Xiaoran’s cold voice interjected, drawing everyone’s gaze to her. Xie Xiaoran’s face remained calm, as if she hadn’t just said something provocative.
The middle-aged couple’s expressions changed instantly. They glanced at Su Weiyi, seemingly constrained by her presence, they didn’t respond to Xie Xiaoran, but repeated their previous words, "Miss Sheng, Ziyu is still young. Please forgive her. We’ve already planned to send Ziyu abroad, so rest assured she won’t appear before you again."
Su Weiyi smiled faintly, "What Xiao Ran just said is exactly what I wanted to say. Uncle, Aunt, I respect you as elders and won’t speak harshly, but do you think your words are appropriate? Zhang Ziyu is still young? Aren’t we the same age? If I weren’t the Sheng family’s daughter, you probably wouldn’t be standing here talking to me today. If this happened to an ordinary girl, it would likely just be brushed aside, right?"
Su Weiyi’s few words left Zhang Ziyu’s parents speechless.
She had been feeling down these days, something was stifling her inside. Although she knew it was inappropriate to vent her frustrations on others, why did they have to come and hit a nerve?
Su Weiyi didn’t give them a chance to speak, continuing, "I’m really busy, so I won’t see you out. If there’s anything else you’d like to say, I can give you my father’s number. Goodbye."
